HERMES HERNANDEZ BIOGRAPHY

Born in Cuba to a mom who recognized in me at a very young

age my perception and interpretation of color and technique.

Thanks to her insight and encouragement i was motivated to pursue my passion. While taking acting clasess at a childrens's

theater i worked as a Draftsman for a group of City Engineers

and Architects on different projects for the City of Havana Cuba. In the 1970's I, Hermes Felipe Hernandez Pena,chose my career in Graphic Arts earning my Associates Degree. In addition to my blog hermesartist.blogspot.com , my work has being published in Modern Painter's Magazine and also in 2006 i had a solo Art Exhibit in the city of yonkers New York and again in 2016 i had the opportunity to show some of my art work creations at Black Door Art Gallery in Chelsea NY. My Love for Art has inspired me to depict life through a combo of colors, texture and symbolism.
